Brain health – just what does it mean and why is it so important for women?
We are challenging how female athletes are monitored, protected and supported, in order to advance female performance. We are empowering female athletes by conducting and using the latest scientific research to educate and inform, aiming to maximise potential and optimise performance.
Research has found that around 80% of women wear the wrong size sports bra. This might mean that you aren’t giving your breasts the right support, and this could impact your enjoyment and performance in a workout.
Rachael Burford has broken barriers. In 2016, she became the first female professional player on the RPA (Rugby Players Association) Board and has competed for England in four Rugby World Cups. Rachael now has her own training academy, she is captain of Harlequins Women’s team, and, much to our delight, is now a FitrWoman Ambassador. We caught up with Rachael to find out more about her life as an athlete.
